Rubber Division ACS will be offering something new this
year at its International Elastomer Conference 2019 being held at Huntington Convention Centre of Cleveland in Cleveland, OH, from October 8-10, 2019.
The organisation is holding a pre-conference workshop on “How the Women of Rubber Division can Connect, Collaborate & Communicate with Confidence.” A communication expert, Leslie Ungar, will facilitate this workshop which will take place on October 7 from 1pm to 6pm.
“Women and men have challenges. They have different challenges. This workshop is designed to help women `get out of their own way.’ It is specifically developed for the women of rubber and will be an interactive session with substance and humour that will provide steps you can begin to implement, as well as longer-term areas of focus to help you reach your next level of excellence,” ACS says in a Press release.
The workshop will include a panel discussion and will also address the challenges and opportunities of women working in a male dominated industry. It will conclude with an opportunity to network and empower one another during a wine and cheese reception from 5-6pm.
“Sorry, gentlemen…no boys allowed,” ACS adds.
Registration for the International Elastomer Conference, including this pre-conference workshop, will open in April.
