Currently, the number of holdings lying untapped owing to many reasons. The aim of adoption is to increase rubber production by starting regular tapping in the untapped areas. The Rubber Board promoted companies and Rubber Producers’ Societies can help the growers in many ways for the adoption process. The service of the members of the Tapper Bank can be utilised for tapping in many holdings. This will help to address the problem of
shortage of tappers to a certain extent.

Information about the services of the Board and also technical advice regarding cultivation, production, processing etc. of rubber can be regularly sought from the Call Centre functioning at Kottayam, Kerala, India from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on all working days.
