Malaysian glove manufacturer Top Glove Corporation has recently received two international recognitions for its good practices in the Economic, Environmental and Social (EES) space. It has become the only Malaysian glove manufacturer included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Emerging Markets in September
2019. Besides, Top Glove’s latex concentrate factory awarded Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification.

Top Glove was ranked 15th out of 44 healthcare companies placing it amongst the top 33 percent performers across all DJSI indices. Top Glove is the only Malaysian healthcare company included in the DJSI Emerging Markets, which comprises 98 companies from various industries and also one of only two Malaysian companies on the index.
The DJSI Emerging Market Index tracks the sustainability performance of the top 10 percent of the largest
Emerging Markets companies on the S&P Global Broad Market Index and serves as a key reference point for investors and companies alike.

Top Glove’s latex concentrate factory (F16L) in Thailand, was also awarded the FSC Chain of Custody
(CoC) certification, the official award ceremony for which took place on September 30, 2019. It demonstrates Top Glove’s commitment to latex sourcing in an environmentally responsible and socially beneficial manner, which is aligned with the United Nations (UN) Sustainability Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption & Production.
Top Glove’s Board Sustainability Committee Chairman, Sharmila Sekarajasekaran said: “These achievements mark significant milestones for Top Glove. They speak to our deeply held commitment towards best sustainability practices across every aspect of Top Glove’s business operations. Notably, we strive to create more long term value for all our key stakeholders and the environment. We have also identified key UN SDGs which Top Glove will be advancing within the company.”
